Step 1 - Submit a proposal to the Cultural Activities Committee

A cultural activity is defined as an activity promoting dialogue among civilizations. These activities include art exhibitions, musical concerts, plays, poetry performances, art installations, film screenings and food festivals.

Proposals to convene a cultural activity can only be made by Permanent Missions to UNOG and International Organizations. While individual artists and non-governmental organizations cannot propose an activity, they can support Permanent Missions or International Organizations as partners and collaborators.

To submit a proposal for consideration, requesting entities must formally make a submission online: Click here to log in to the portal. All proposals must be submitted at least three months before the planned date of the activity.

Once the online submission has been reviewed by the Cultural Activities Coordinators, the proposal will be considered by the Cultural Activities Committee for a formal decision. Please see here for the detailed Guidelines and Mandate of the Cultural Activities Committee (CAC).
