Step 4 - Installation and Preparation

The Cultural Activities Coordinators will coordinate with the Requesting Entity to ensure the installation and preparation of an activity. While UNOG is responsible for ensuring all UNOG materials and equipment are prepared for the activity (eg. panels in place for exhibitions, the installation of the large stage in the Assembly Hall for a performance, and the placement of lectern, microphones and flags for official speeches), the Requesting Entity is responsible for all aspects of installing the content of the activity, such as artworks and photographs, or in the case of a concert or performance, dress rehearsals and stage production.

The names and vehicle details of all personnel who require entry to the Palais (and do not have a UN badge) must be communicated to the Cultural Activities Coordinators one week before the planned activity to ensure the necessary arrangements can be coordinated with security personnel.

If a reception is organized by the catering company Eldora, which services UNOG, Eldora will provide all tables, materials and food/drinks ordered for the event. Please contact Eldora as soon as possible to ensure the activity can be catered: T: +41 22 917 56 19, E: onu@eldora.ch.

If the Requesting Entity chooses to cater the event, it must provide all materials (tablecloths, plates, cutlery, etc.), servers, food and drinks, and ensure the cleaning of the space after the event. The Cultural Activities Coordinators will assure the requested number of tables is provided for the reception.
